President
Marc Eckhert
Marc Eckhert is a 2009 MBA candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he is studying finance and entrepreneurship. Prior to business school, Marc was a Senior Business Consultant at Kaiser Permanente, where he developed financial models and tools to manage a portfolio of major IT investment projects. Before Kaiser, Marc worked for three years at Deloitte Consulting, leading efforts for IT strategy and packaged software implementations at several Fortune 500 clients in media, mortgage banking, and healthcare. Last summer, he worked at YS Interactive where he developed a global marketing and pricing strategy for the launch of a new Web 2.0 product. After graduating from Anderson, Marc intends to pursue entrepreneurial career opportunities.
Marc is the current President of the Entrepreneur Association at UCLA Anderson, the ASA Distinguished Speaker student representative, a Management Development for Entrepreneurs fellow, and a member of Toastmasters International. He currently serves as a member of the Price Center Board of Advisors and as an ex-officio board member for Project ECHO. He earned a B.A. in business/economics with a specialization in computing from UCLA in 2001.
Director of Entrepreneurial Programs
Sarah Chan
Sarah is in her second year at UCLA Anderson School of Management where she
is studying entrepreneurial studies and strategy. Prior to business school,
Sarah spent 3 years in management consulting at Deloitte, focusing corporate
strategy and operations work with Fortune 500 firms in the life sciences,
healthcare, and technology industries. Before Deloitte, she worked at
Mercer HR Consulting within the Healthcare and Performance Measurement &
Rewards groups. At Anderson, Sarah is the current Director of
Entrepreneurial Programs in the Entrepreneur Association, an Outdoor
Adventure Business Club President, and an Anderson Ultimate Frisbee Club
Co-Captain. Sarah earned a BA in economics from UC Berkeley in 2003.
Director of Venture Capital Programs
Joshua Grove
Josh is a full-time MBA student at UCLA Anderson focusing on Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital. During his first year, Josh was elected as the Director of Venture Capital Programs for the Entrepreneur Association and was selected as a Dean's Scholar. Josh graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oregon in 2000 with majors in Economics and Business Administration.
Prior to business school, Josh was a senior research analyst for Dow Jones VentureOne, a venture capital research firm. At VentureOne, Josh performed extensive cross-industry analysis on venture-backed companies and compiled the findings into research reports for the company's clients. He also served as the research department spokesperson for presenting the company's venture industry statistics to the press and at industry conferences. Previously, Josh worked as an analyst at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, an investment bank focused on middle-market mergers and acquisitions, where he worked with clients in a variety of industries.
Director of Business Development
Joshua Huang
Josh Huang is currently a second year MBA student at UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is concentrating his studies in High Tech Management and Entrepreneurship. Prior to business school, Josh worked in business technology consulting at Deloitte Consulting for four years, focusing on customer-focused enterprise software and IT strategy projects. Josh is the current Director of Business Development of the Entrepreneur Association at UCLA Anderson. He is also actively involved in volunteering for the Riordan Fellows Mentorship program and Project ECHO. This summer, Josh is working as a Business Development Associate at 4HomeMedia, a leading developer of home control services. Josh earned a B.S.B. in Management Information Systems and Supply Chain Management from the University of Minnesota.
Director of FEMBA Programs
Ken Dickerson
Ken Dickerson began his entrepreneurial experience when he was 14 and helped launch a family contact lens manufacturing company. After serving in the US Army, he returned to the family business as the Manufacturing Manager, running the operations of the company for three years. In that time he was able to achieve significant improvements for the company, by implementing modern manufacturing equipment and adapting processes to take advantage of the efficiencies made possible by that new equipment. Ken left the family business to pursue a BS in physics from Georgia Tech in 1999. He went on to earn an MS in physics from UCSD in 2001. Ken then returned to his entrepreneurial roots, by launching, operating, and eventually selling a home services franchise. Since that time, Ken has worked in engineering software as a trainer, consultant, and project manager for medium to large engineering companies including Caterpillar, John Deere, Raytheon, and Boeing, where he is presently employed. Ken is currently pursuing an MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management, focusing on entrepreneurship.

Bill Cockrum

Professor Cockrum has won numerous teaching awards, including recognition as the top entrepreneurial professor in the nation in a survey conducted by Business Week in 1996. He has become a legend for a case-study entrepreneurial finance class he has taught for more than 20 years, teaching students the ins and outs of acquiring and sustaining the financing for organizations. He also is a Visiting Professor at Warwick and Cranfield Universities.
Prior to joining the UCLA faculty, Bill Cockrum spent 25 years in financial services initially as a marketer and lastly as CFO/CAO and one of the top senior officers at Becker Paribas, Inc. a 3,000-employee investment banking firm. When the company was sold to Merrill Lynch in 1984, Cockrum began his second career as a consultant to chief executive officers. He serves as a consultant in a variety of industries on issues such as organization structure, strategy, marketing, finance, and administration.
Shortly after starting consulting, Cockrum became a full time professor at UCLA Anderson teaching students the business and finance skills needed to succeed as entrepreneurs. Mr. Cockrum currently teaches entrepreneurial finance, business ethics, and investment management. He also is a member of the school's Board of Visitors, the Anderson Alumni Board, the Advisory Board of the Price Center, and a member of the UCLA Foundation investment committee.
